Safety before convenience

Safe care includes confirming identity, indication, ingredients, dose, allergies, medications, pregnancy status, relevant conditions and informed consent, followed by clean technique and observation appropriate to the treatment.

Important for this option: Possible harms include pain, bruising, bleeding, infection, allergic reaction, vein irritation, fluid problems and ingredient-specific adverse effects. Staff provide aftercare instructions and escalation guidance.

What the consultation reviews

Purpose and evidence

Symptoms, intended goal, whether testing is indicated, strength of evidence and whether oral nutrition or another treatment is preferable.

Medical safety

Allergies, pregnancy, prescriptions, supplements, kidney, liver and heart conditions, bleeding risk and ingredient-specific concerns.

Route and cost

Whether IM or IV administration is reasonable, the proposed ingredients and dose, expected visit time, starting price and alternatives.

IM injections versus IV infusions

IM treatment is a small-volume injection into muscle and is generally quicker. IV treatment requires venous access, additional setup and monitoring. IV administration does not make an ingredient universally necessary or more effective. W8MD selects the route only after evaluation.

Starting-price guide

IM B12: from $20. Lipo-B, vitamin C, B-complex and GHK-Cu: from $30. NAD+ and GLOW: from $40. For IV administration, add $99.99 for setup to the prices of the selected components. Prices, dose, availability and candidacy can change and are confirmed before treatment.

Seek urgent help when needed: Trouble breathing, facial or throat swelling, chest pain, fainting, severe weakness or rapidly worsening symptoms after an injection or infusion require emergency assessment. Call 911 for an emergency.
